Marvin!
DON'T MISS THE REDESIGNED MARVIN THE MARTIAN STORE DOZENS OF NEW ITEMS ADDED ON DECEMBER 13, 2017!

If you are looking for that perfect gift for your favorite Marvin the Martian fan, (or for yourself! ) make sure to check out my MARVIN the MARTIAN STORE!!

At the store, you can buy Marvin the Martian products including some hard to find items. It's getting more difficult to find Marvin items, especially with the Warner Bros.stores closed. (I am still kicking myself for not buying more Marvin items when I went to the WB Store in NY many years ago!) I am always working hard to find more Marvin items to add to my Marvin store so that Marvin fans don't have to spend hours hunting for Marvin items! If anyone is looking for a specific Marvin item, drop me an e-mail and I'll see if I can find it. Created to enlighten everyone on the history and ways of MARVIN THE MARTIAN, since there isn't enough information out there on this unique space alien, this page is dedicated to my favorite tempermental martian!

This site includes exclusive Marvin pictures such as Marcia Martian (this was the first site ever to have a picture of Marcia) as well a comprehensive collection of Marvin sound files, including ones from his debut in 1948. You can also view some video clips, and don't forget to check out Marvin's poem too.

History - When did Marvin the Martian appear?
Marvin the Martian was created by Chuck Jones on 7/24/48 Marvin first met Bugs Bunny in 1948 in "Haredevil Hare". When Marvin first appeared, he was known only as commander-X-23. His original suit was an goldish- brown color then it was changed to the revered color that it is known as today. His voice was also quite different! Marvin turned 51 on July 24, 1999!

Marvin's Voice
Marvin's voice used to be done by Mel Blanc. Since Mel Blanc passed away in 1989, Marvin's voice has been done by Joe Alaskey (with the exception of the movie Space Jam). Over the years, Mr. Alaskey has worked on Marvin for Lunar Tunes and Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension and he has voiced Marvin for Rhino Records projects, WB Six Flags parks, TV commercials and in-house Warner Brothers projects.

Cartoons Featuring Marvin the Martian
1948 - "Haredevil Hare." I have this on video! A Looney Tunes episode with Bugs Bunny. This cartoon features K-9, and Marvin with a very different voice!

1952 - "Hasty Hare." A Looney Tunes episode with Bugs Bunny

1953 - "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2 Century." I have this on video! A Merrie Melodies episode with Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. Daffy goes to Planet X to seek out Illudium Phosdex, the shaving cream atom. He meets Marivn, and Marvin and Duck Dodger (Daffy Duck) both try to lay claim to Planet X, the last known source of Illudiom Phosdex.

1958 - "Hare-Way to the Stars" - I have this on video! A Looney Tunes episode with Bugs Bunny. Marvin plans to blow up the Earth using the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator, and Bugs Bunny tries to stop him. Marvin, angry that "that creature" has stolen his space modulator, creates more Martians.

1963 - "Mad as a Mars Hare." A Merrie Melodies episode with Bugs Bunny

1980 - "Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24 1/2 Century"

1980 - "Spaced Out Bunny"

1991 - "Bugs Bunny's Lunar Tunes." I have this one on video! Marvin goes before a Mars court to get a permit to - what else - blow up the earth! (remember, it blocks his view of Venus...) Bugs Bunny is responsible for defending the earth from destruction! Marvin asserts that Earthlings create pollution, clutter up outer space, and portray space people as monsters. Bugs must show enough evidence to save the earth from Marvin's missile.

1996 - "Marvin the Martian in the 3rd Dimension." I got to see this on Oct. 3, 1998! This is a 12 minute movie shown only at the Warner Brother's Flagship store in Manhattan on the 8th floor, Warner Brother's Movie World in Australia, and Warner Brothers MovieWorld in Bottrop-Kirchellen, Germany. You take an escalator to the 8th floor after you buy your tickets and get a token per ticket that enables you to get a (small) discount on anything in the store. The characters are Marvin (of course) Daffy and K-9. The 3D effect is very cool, and you even get splashed with some water (just a little!) when Marvin creates more martians. Now that the WB Stores are gone, I'm afraid this great movie isn't showing anymore...

1996 - "Space Jam." I have this one on video also.

1999 - Marvin the Martian: Space Tunes. This video contains two Marvin volumes released in 1998 (Space Tunes and 50 Years On Earth) on a single video. And yes, I have this video too.

Hasty Hare & Hare Way to the Stars can be found in the laserdisc "Looney Tunes After Dark".

1993 - "Cat On a Hot Steel Beam" (Animaniacs) Mindy chases a kitten along a beam in a construction site. To prevent her from falling, Buttons adds boards and other objects to extend it all the way to Mars where Buttons meets Marvin.
